A business and community burglary is when someone enters a building such as an office, shop, restaurant or place of worship with the intent to steal something or commit a crime.
This includes all buildings or parts of buildings that are used solely for business purposes or are outside the classification of residential burglary such as a library or community centre.
If the burglar has a weapon, such as a gun, knife or explosive, this is classified as an aggravated business and community burglary.
