Witness appeal after fatal Coventry collision

Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car in Coventry this morning (24 August).

Officers were called to the collision at the junction of Grayswood Avenue and Dulverton Avenue, Earlsdon, just after 8.30am.

A 38-year-old man was taken to hospital but sadly died soon after his arrival.

The driver of the Audi remained at the scene and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses, particularly anyone with dash cam footage which could assist the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the motorcyclist and we will do all we can to support them at this extremely difficult time.

"We are still in the early stages of this investigation and I would ask that people do not speculate on the circumstances of the collision; but that anyone with information which could help our enquiries contacts us as soon as possible."

Contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on email at FL_COLLISION_INVEST@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk, call 101 or Live Chat via WMP Online between 8am and midnight. Quote log number 841 of 24 August.
