Witness appeal after Birmingham collision leaves teen seriously injured

Police are appealing for information after a collision in Birmingham last Thursday (28 September) which left a teenager with serious injuries.

CarOfficers on patrol found the injured boy on Alum Rock Road at the junction of Anthony Road, just before 9pm.  

The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital with significant facial injuries which require surgery.

PC Chris Brock, from force traffic, said: "This investigation is in its early stages and we are trying to establish exactly what happened. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision and hasn’t yet spoken to police to make contact.

"I would also appeal directly to the driver to do the right thing; come forward and speak to us now."
