Update following our appeal to identify two people following a Birmingham collision

Earlier this week we asked for your help to identify two people after a woman was seriously injured in a collision on Botteville Road, Birmingham last month.

A woman has come forward and is now helping with our enquiries, but we are still trying to trace a man, who we believe to be the driver.

appeal for man

On Saturday 6 March at around 2pm, a grey Honda Accord stolen earlier that day, was driving at speed down the road when it hit the woman.

The Honda also collided with several parked cars causing significant damage.

The woman, in her 30s, was taken to hospital with a broken pelvis. She has since returned home where she continues to recover from her injuries.

We are appealing for help to identify the driver who left the scene.

PC Lucy White, from our Traffic Unit, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who might have seen what happened.

“In particular if anyone has any dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the collision, please get in touch."

If you recognise him, or have any information please contact police via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime. Quote log number 1903 6/3.
