Stolen dog found but police continue to appeal for infomation

Detectives are appealing for information after a puppy was stolen during a burglary in Coventry.

Officers have released footage of the XL bulldog being carried away in a bag by the thief.

The young pup named Tyson was taken from an address in Rafferty Adams Way, in Longford, around 11am yesterday (6 January) along with an engagement ring, clothing and jewellery. Tyson has since been found and reunited with his rightful owner, but officers are still appealing to trace the burglar who stole him.

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who has information about the break-in and who was responsible.

DC Mario Poleszak, from force CID, said: "The burglar was determined to get his hands on whatever he could taking sentimental items and stooping as low as taking a young pup."

Anyone with information can contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk, or via 101. Quote crime reference number 20CV/5202E/20.
