Serious collision on M6, Walsall
Officers are currently dealing with a collision involving a lorry and a flatbed truck on the M6 in Walsall.
There is a two-lane road closure in place between junctions 8 and 9 (southbound).
Both carriageways were closed for a short period of time this afternoon, but two southbound lanes and the northbound carriageway have now reopened.
The driver of the flatbed truck has been taken to hospital with serious injuries to his legs and pelvis. His injuries are not life-threatening.
The lorry driver is assisting police with the ongoing investigation.
The incident is causing some traffic delays, so please avoid the area if possible.
