A teenager is in hospital following a street stabbing in Castle Vale that saw him set upon by three men.
The 19-year-old was walking in Farnborough Road, near the junction with School Close, at 9.45pm on Thursday night (24 Aug) when it’s understood three black men got out of the vehicle and attacked him.
He sustained multiple stab wounds but managed to run to a woman in School Close and ask for help.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics; his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Specialist teams are carrying out numerous lines of enquiry including forensic investigations.
CCTV cameras in the area which may have captured the attackers are being identified and footage will be trawled as a priority.
Sgt Mark Allen from the Investigation Team at Stechford said: “Knife crime is a high priority for us and we will be working round the clock to identify the three people responsible.
“We urge anyone who was in the vicinity, saw what happened, or has any other information which may help our investigation to contact Crimestoppers as soon as possible.
Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111. Information given may lead to a reward of up to £1000. Please quote West Midlands Police log 3275 of 24/08/17.
