We need your help after a man was stabbed during a robbery in Brierley Hill last night (Monday 13 January).

A 28-year-old man was attacked in his black Toyota estate before the car was stolen in Lower Derry Street at around 7.15pm.

He went to nearby Hill Street, where staff in a shop called police and ambulance. He’s currently in hospital for treatment for his injuries which thankfully are not thought to be life-threatening.

Detective Sergeant Leighton Shingles, from CID, said: “Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened? If so please help us and get in touch.

“Maybe you have dashcam footage or have seen the car - a black Toyota estate registration N529 YEO - we need your help to catch those responsible.”

Anyone with information can contact police via Live Chat at between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime. Please quote crime reference number 20DY/11389Z/20.
