A man has been jailed for more than 12 years after firing a handgun in a house in Birmingham and injuring a woman.
Michael Dixon, aged 44, was at his home in Linton Walk, Erdington with his partner and a couple of friends when a row erupted at around 1am on 10 October 2020.
Dixon fired a single shot which hit his victim in the shoulder before then fleeing the scene.
She was taken to hospital and following surgery is thankfully now making a good recovery.
During a search at the house officers found a rucksack containing 10 bullets which were seized and Dixon was arrested in Derby two days later.
