It followed reports of a disorder nearby and suggestions a woman was being chased by someone armed with a knife.

They spoke to three men on the bus’s top deck and arrested one on suspicion of knife possession.

Haatin Davis, from Little Hall Road in Nechells, was charged last night with possessing an offensive weapon in public and appeared in court today (1 April).

The 31-year-old was remanded into prison ahead of a Crown Court appearance.
