Man charged with Wolverhampton murder as victim named as Martin Latham

Brian Willington has been charged with murder.

The 32-year-old from Hawkley Close, Moseley will appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Thursday 9 September).

He is accused of killing 41-year-old Martin Latham.

Martin, from Ward Street, Ettingshall, was repeatedly stabbed in the car park of Asda, Heath Town just after 9pm on Monday. He died in hospital and his family are understandably “heartbroken”.

“We are devastated as a family losing a son, brother, uncle, dad and a grandad,” they said.

“We are heartbroken. Words cannot explain how we are all feeling at the moment.”

His family have shared this photograph of Martin when he was much younger. It’s how they will remember him.
