Man charged in connection with fatal Birmingham collision
Officers investigating a fatal collision following a police pursuit on Crocketts Road, Birmingham on Saturday (17 August), have charged a man.
A 28-year-old woman from a Ford Fiesta, which was in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf at 9.42pm, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she sadly died.
The woman’s family has been informed and are being supported by our specialist family liaison unit.
Unemployed Adrian Paskin, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving with no insurance and driving without a licence. The 34-year-old is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 19 August).
Three people from the Volkswagen Golf suffered minor injuries and one person was taken to hospital to be checked over.
The force’s Professional Standards Department was informed as well as the Independent Office for Police Conduct, as is normal procedure in a collision where a police vehicle is involved.
