Man charged with attempted murder following Small Heath stabbing

A man will appear before magistrates tomorrow (Monday 2 October) charged with attempted murder following a knife attack on a 15-year-old boy in Herbert Road, Small Heath, during the early hours of (Saturday 30 September).

Unemployed Dominic Palmer, aged 29, of Herbert Road, Small Heath has been remanded in custody and is due before Birmingham Magistrates Court in the morning.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough from the Complex Team at Bournville police station said: “This was a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time, we’ve since learnt that the boy only celebrated his 15th birthday two days before the attack.

“Our investigation is continuing as we work to establish the circumstances of what happened so that we can provide his family with the answers they need.

“I would ask anyone with information to come forward.”
