Man charged with attempted murder following Balsall Heath shooting

A man has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened in Balsall Heath last month.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the face outside an address on Edgbaston Road on 30 April sometime after 9.30pm. He remains in a critical but stable condition.

Nathan Emanuel is accused of carrying out the attack, and has been charged with attempted murder.

The 44-year-old of Grange Road, Small Heath, Birmingham is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning (14 May).

He's also been charged with wounding, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and robbery in relation to an alleged attack minutes earlier, which left another man, aged 19, with facial injuries.
