Latest following firearm discharge in Frankley

A man remains in a stable condition in hospital after being shot by an armed officer in Birmingham on Wednesday (26 July) night.

West Midlands Police continues to co-operate with the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) who are investigating the shooting of the man, aged in his early 40s, off Hereford Close, Frankley.

A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of firearms offences has been bailed with strict curfew conditions.

Two other men, aged 17 and 20, and a 53 year-old woman arrested on suspicion of drugs offences have been released under investigation.
