Investigation launched after teen stabbed in Birmingham

We were called to reports of a stabbing in the Garretts Green area of Birmingham at 4:20pm this afternoon, (Wednesday 12 February).
 
A 15-year-old boy was found on Sheldon Heath Road with a stab wound to his head. He’s been taken to hospital for treatment to his injury, which fortunately is not thought to be serious. 
 
An investigation is underway to determine what happened and the exact location of where the attack took place. 
 
We’ve increased our presence in the area this evening, while we conduct further enquiries and provide reassurance.
