Investigation launched after shots fired in Tyseley, Birmingham

Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a house on Spring Road Tyseley, Birmingham at around 12.40am today (28 August). 
 
The occupants reported hearing a loud bang and discovered a hole in the front door which is believed to be consistent with a gun shot.
 
cordonAn area of Spring Road has been cordoned off while forensic experts examine the scene.
 
Detectives are speaking to local residents and trawling CCTV for any evidence that will help with their enquiries.
 
It is believed a dark coloured vehicle was in the area around the time of the shooting and officers are keen to locate the car and occupants.
 
Anyone with any information that could help the investigation is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101 quoting 20BE/182815G/17.
