Investigation launched after man dies

We’ve launched an investigation after a man was found in distress in Kingswinford during the early hours of this morning (21 July).

The 29-year-old man was treated for a head injury by paramedics at the scene in Barnett Street at around 4.20am.

He was taken to hospital but has sadly since died.

We’ve sealed off the road as enquires continue to try and establish what happened.

We’re appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything to contact us. If you have any information or dash cam footage please get in touch.

Detective Inspector Hannah Whitehouse, from our homicide team, said: “A man has tragically died and it’s our duty to understand the circumstances of how this happened.

“Enquires are ongoing and as part of this we’re conducting a trawl of CCTV and speaking to potential witnesses.

“I’d ask anyone who knows anything or may have seen anything to contact us as soon as possible.”
