Investigation launched after 'good Samaritan' stabbed
Detectives are investigating after a good Samaritan was stabbed and beaten with a crowbar in Birmingham when he intervened as a group of men appeared to be attacking and abusing a woman with a dog.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he remains with serious but not life threatening or life changing injuries.
We are now appealing for the woman or anyone who knows her to come forward to help with our investigation, or anyone who saw what happened on Johnson Road, Erdington just before 8pm last night (16 May).
Our officers are trawling CCTV and have stepped up patrols in the area to search for the offenders.
