Guns seized and two men arrested after a warrant in West Bromwich

Two guns have been seized and two people have been arrested by West Midlands Police Regional Organised Crime Unit, after officers executed a warrant in West Bromwich this morning (26 February).

The pistol and revolver were discovered as officers raided a property in Glastonbury Road at around 5am.

A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old teenager were both arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and remain in police custody this afternoon.

DCI Ronan Tyrer from the Regional Organised Crime Unit, said: “Our work to take guns and those who use them off the streets of the West Midlands Region continues and we will be relentless in our pursuit of reducing harm or potential harm to the communities within the West Midlands.

“I would encourage anyone who has any information or suspects something regarding firearms or organised crime to get in touch. Police and partners are here to help prevent crime and protect our young people. If you have a concern, call us."
