Further arrest made in Wolverhampton teen murder
We’ve arrested a man in connection with the murder of Keelan Wilson.
The 15-year-old was discovered with stab wounds following reports of a disorder in Langley Road, Merry Hill, almost two years ago on 29 May 2018.
The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder this morning (Wednesday 20 May) and is currently in custody.
Three men were charged with Keelan’s murder last year and remanded in custody awaiting a trial later this year.
Detective Inspector Nick Barnes, from the Force CID team, said: "This is a further significant step in our investigation.
“We’re determined to bring those responsible for Keelan’s death to justice.
“The death of anyone under such circumstances is tragic, but Keelan was so young, he had his whole life ahead of him.
“His murder was a needless act of violence that was deeply destressing for his family, friends and the communities of Wolverhampton.
“We will not let up on the fight against knife crime, we’re committed to protecting the public and will do all we can to investigate violent crimes, and get the answers his family deserve."
