Family pay tribute to man killed in road crash on New Year's Day
The family of a driver who died in a crash in Walsall just minutes into the New Year have paid tribute to him.
Jon Paul Breakwell, aged 37, from Walsall, died at the scene in Pinfold Lane, Great Barr where a silver BMW 3-Series had hit a tree just after midnight on New Year's Day.
Jon Paul's family today paid an emotional tribute to him saying: "We are all devastated and shocked by this tragic incident.
"Jon Paul was fun loving, hugely popular and larger than life. He will be sadly missed."
They are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer and an investigation into the collision is continuing.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who was driving near the area at about 12.20am on 1 January and may have caught a silver 3-Series BMW on dash-cam, to get in touch.
