Crimestoppers anniversary appeal following serious Birmingham city centre assault
The independent charity Crimestoppers has renewed their reward of up to £5000 for information to find a man wanted in connection with a serious assault in Birmingham City Centre, last October.
The attack took place on the evening of Monday 5 October at around 10.02pm. A 57-year-old man was walking in the City Centre along Upper Dean Street when a group of men and women approached him. Shortly after he was punched in the head and knocked unconscious to the floor.
The group walked away from the scene while the victim was left hurt on the floor.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a bleed on the brain - a serious life-threatening condition. He was placed in an induced coma and was in hospital for a very long time.
Although he’s since woken up, he’s been left with serious brain damage that will last a lifetime.
Five of the group have already been arrested. One man wanted in connection with this assault has still not been identified.
One year on from the attack the appeal to trace him has been renewed. Do you know who he is?
