Four people have been honoured for bravely trying to save a man found drowning in a Wednesfield canal.

Sharon Dixon spotted a man falling headfirst into the canal on 10 July last year and, with the help of another passer-by Joseph Argyle, managed to pull him onto the towpath.

An investigation has been launched after a man who was found with serious head injuries in Sandwell on Saturday 8 June has since passed away. 

Police were called to a property in Yardley Close, Oldbury just before 1am and found seriously injured Amjad Khan.
