Two teenage boys have been charged with robbery in connection with three attacks on men who had arranged dates through the Grindr app.

The victims were separately attacked and robbed by a group in Yardley after being contacted for potential dates.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was discovered with fatal injuries in Smith’s Wood last night (29 March).

Officers were called to Arran Way just after 11.15pm to reports of a man being stabbed.

On 18 September 2018, Okeeno Wilkie, 21, cycled to Lea Hall recreation ground, Kitts Green, where he confronted three teenage boys, after a relative claimed he had been attacked.

Violence flared after the defendant, aged 17 and who cannot be named for legal reasons, accused a passenger on the number 5 bus of staring at him on 8 November.

Reginald William Nend was hurt following a collision involving his Vauxhall Astra and a Renault Laguna in Yardley Wood Road around 10am on 14 February.

Christopher Harm, 28, was killed in a drunken rage by his cousin Glen Elvin in Engine Lane, in the early hours of 13 October 2018.

Two men aged 17 and 20, who were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to steal have been released on police bail.
