Credit to the Birmingham Mail

An inspirational grandma and frontline West Midlands Police officer has been hailed a public service star in the Birmingham Mail’s annual awards − fittingly on the eve of National Grandparent’s Day.


Three West Midlands Police officers accused of lying at an inquest into a man’s death have been cleared by a jury of perjury and perverting the course of justice.


Police are appealing for information after a collision in Birmingham last Thursday (28 September) which left a teenager with serious injuries.

Police have been granted extra time to question a man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Herbert Road, Small Heath during the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday 30 September).
