Appeal for witnesses of motorbike collision in Dudley

We are asking for your help after a man was seriously injured in a motorbike collision on a cycle/foot path in Dudley.

The 28-year-old was found around 9.30pm last night (30 May) just off Farthings Lane by Duncan Edwards Way. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition with a head injury.

From examining the scene (circled in red on the map) we believe he was on a motorcycle which hit a tree. From CCTV we know the motorbike was then taken away by another man who returned a short time later with several others. None of these men have contacted us and we would like to hear from them.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We would urge the people involved to come forward so that we can understand how this man has come about his injuries.

“He is in a very serious condition in hospital and if they are his friends, they owe it to him to do the right thing.”

If anyone else has any information about how the collision happened please contact us by emailing or contact us via Live Chat on our website. Alternatively ring 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log 3811 of 30/5.
