Appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after teenager injured in Coventry shooting

We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after an 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound in Coventry in the early hours of Saturday (8 August).

Officers were alerted after reports of shots being fired at Edgwick Park, at around 1am.

The 18-year-old later presented at hospital with injuries which are not thought to be serious.

During a search of the park weapons were recovered and CCTV from around the area is being reviewed as our enquiries continue.

A man and a woman, both aged 19, were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and have been released pending further investigation.

Detectives are also urging anyone who was in the Foleshill Road area between 12.30am and 1.30am on Saturday or has dashcam footage to get in touch.

Contact us via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk, 8am to midnight, or call 101 anytime. To tell us what you know not who you are, call Crimestopers on 0800 555 111.
