Appeal over robbery after family are tied up in their home

We are appealing for information after four family members, including a 97-year-old man, were tied up during a robbery at their home in Handsworth.

We were called just after 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 February) to an address in Oakland Road after three masked intruders forced their way inside and threatened the family.

They were left tied up in a bathroom while the offenders searched the home and stole electrical items and personal belongings.

The victims were shaken but not injured and are being supported by our officers.
