Appeal for information following stabbing in Witton

We’re appealing for information after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in Witton yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) at 2.15pm.

The 19-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries but his injuries are thankfully not life-threatening.

Detectives are reviewing local CCTV and are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have any information or dashcam footage to contact us.

Detective Chief Inspector John Askew, from force CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, this stabbing occurred in the middle of the afternoon in a busy road so please come forward if you have any information that would help our investigation."
