Appeal following serious collision in Erdington

Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Erdington this morning (2 December).

The 34-year-old was riding a motorbike which hit street furniture on Chester Road at around 8.25am.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed while initial investigations were carried out but has since re-opened.

Detective Sergeant Alan Hands, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information to help us establish the circumstances around this collision to get in touch."
