Appeal after pedestrian injured in Wednesbury collision

We're appealing for information and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was seriously injured following a collision in Wednesbury last night (23 February).

A man in his 70s is in a critical condition in hospital after he was hit by a car while crossing Crankhall Lane at around 6.15pm.

The driver of the blue Ford Focus remained at the scene and is helping us with our enquiries.

Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage, or who was in the area at the time and not yet spoken to us.

Sergeant Alan Hands said: "We believe there are a number of potential witnesses who are yet to provide an account of what they saw.

"I would urge them to help us establish what happened by coming forward."

Information can be given by contacting FL_COLLISION_INVEST@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk, via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk or by calling 101. Quote log 1950 of 23/2/20.
