Appeal after motorcyclist dies in Sheldon
We’re appealing for information and dashcam footage after a motorcyclist died in Sheldon.
Officers were called to the junction of Cranes Park Road and Warmington Road at about 2.50pm yesterday (31 May).
A 27-year-old man suffered serious injuries and despite the best efforts of medical staff he sadly died at the scene.
The man was riding a Triumph Speedmaster motorcycle and is understood to have fallen off the bike which then struck an Audi car.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A young man has tragically lost his life and his family are naturally devastated. We have specialist officers supporting them at this difficult time.
“I am urgently appealing for anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken to us to make contact. I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the collision or saw the bike just beforehand, and in particular may have CCTV or dashcam footage.”
Information can be given by contacting collision investigators on FL_COLLISION_INVEST@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk or via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight. Quote log 2368 of 31/05/20.
