Appeal after hit-and-run leaves scooter rider with broken leg

#APPEAL | We’re appealing for dashcam footage after a scooter rider was left with serious leg injuries in a hit-and-run collision on Tuesday (4 May) in Colley Gate, Halesowen.

The rider, a woman in her 30s, was on Colley Gate at the junction with Chapel House Lane and Park Road at around 6.30pm.

We understand a white BMW ran through a red light from Colley Lane into Chapel House Lane and collided with the scooter. The driver of the BMW did not stop.

The woman was treated at hospital for a serious break to her right leg and is now continuing her recovery at home.

As part of our investigations we are reviewing CCTV from around the scene and detectives would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision.

So if you have any information and haven’t yet spoken with officers, or have footage around the time of the collision, please contact us via live chat at west-midlands.police.uk or call 101.

Please quote log 3793 of 4 May, and if you’d prefer to tell us what you know, not who you are, please speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
