Police investigating serious collision on M6

Police are currently investigating a serious collision involving three cars on M6 Northbound in the early hours of this morning (Friday 1 November). 

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on the M6 northbound between junction 5 and 6 for Spaghetti just after 4.30am.

A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

A 19-year-old man has was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. 

Inspector Damian Shave from the force’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are currently dealing with a very serious collision and working with partner agencies to establish what caused this collision to happen.

“The road remains closed this morning and is likely to be closed for most of the morning. We ask that motorists avoid the area as best they can."

Anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 374 of 1 November.
