Police appeal following fatal collision in Coventry
We’re asking for help after a man died following a collision in Coventry this morning (20 Jan).
We were called to a collision between a car and a cyclist shortly before 6.30am on Tamworth Road in Kerseley.
A 38-year-old male cyclist suffered serious injuries and sadly passed away in hospital.
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Sergeant Alan Hands, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This is a tragic event and we have spoken to a number of witnesses already.
"If you have any information or dashcam footage on the collision please get in touch as soon as possible.
“If you saw a silver coloured Hyundai i10 being driven in the area of Tamworth Road around the time of the collision, we’d particularly like to speak to you."
