Police appeal following cashbox robbery in Wednesbury

 Earlier this year a Loomis cash driver was attacked in a cash-in-transit robbery on Axletree Way, Wednesbury.

A cashbox containing thousands of pounds was stolen during the robbery which took place on Monday 12 August at around 9.30am.

The suspect, who was wearing a hi-vis boiler suit, arrived and left in a black Ford C-Max.

Enquiries show the car was stolen from the Northfield area of Birmingham two days before the robbery.

Detectives working on the case have released CCTV of the suspect as part of the ongoing investigation.
