Crack the crime

We are lifting the lid on the world of our Forensic Services Department.

We’ve created an interactive game using Facebook where you get to play the part of the forensic scene investigator. You’ll test the evidence collected from the burglary and will be asked to crack the crime by completing a series of tasks. When the game is completed there will be enough evidence to catch the burglar.

The instant experience can be found on our West Midlands Police Facebook page.

Sitting behind the game are a series of features where you get a rare, behind the scenes look at the hi-tech equipment and science that’s used in the labs.

You'll get to meet the team of experts, see how they go about their work and how they help solve crimes in the West Midlands.

To delve into the world of forensics simply select one of the people in the photos.
