Diamond Awards 2018 - 2019

We are looking for nominations in a variety of categories for police officers, members of police staff, PCSOs and special constables who have made a real difference in your community, people who have dedicated their time and effort to improving the lives of others, helping to build safer and stronger communities.

Award Winner

So if you know an individual, or team that deserves to be recognised, and would like to make a nomination you can do so in one of two ways.

You can download and print a paper copy of the nomination form, where you can either scan and email the form back to us at diamond_awards@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk or post them to:

Nomination Categories

The Neighbourhood Team Excellence Award - (Internal nominations only)

This new award recognises the outstanding contribution of neighbourhood teams who problem solve with our communities to prevent harm and reoffending. It recognises teams that take the initiative, work with partners and intervene early to prevent crime and asb. Working with “active citizens” to tackle local concerns making their neighbourhood even safer.

Our Values in Action

This recognises a team or individual who has championed the force’s vision and values of preventing crime, offering friendship and service, displaying courage and fairness while being prepared to listen and learn making their family proud.

Award Winner

Driving Diversity

For an individual or team who has made a positive impact across the field of diversity. This could include tackling discrimination, encouraging equality and inclusion or promoting the power of diversity across the force.

The Andrew Le Comte Memorial Cup for Inspirational Leadership

The winner of this award will have demonstrated the force value of inspiring others with a passion for policing, allowing others to achieve and reach their potential while offering outstanding leadership skills.

Creativity and Innovation

This is for an individual or team who reflect the force value of being creative and considering new approaches that has enhanced the force’s service to the community it serves.

Student Officer of The Year

Introduced for the first time two years ago, this award recognises student officers who have made an immediate impact, shown exceptional commitment, a passion for policing and demonstrated the force values.

Mark Heard

Team of The Year

This award will be given to the team or department who have worked together to demonstrate the power and effectiveness of excellent teamwork while exemplifying the force values.

Employee of The Year

(Four awards - Police Officer, Special Constable, PCSO and the Joyce Campbell Cup for Police Staff) These awards celebrate outstanding service by individuals who typify the force values, and work over and above what is required by their job.

Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Thank You Award

Awarded to an individual or group who have worked with the police, providing assistance through local initiatives such as watch or community groups.
